About Us

The Youth Money Management Initiative was founded by a dynamic mother-son duo whose mission is to impart practical financial knowledge to young individuals, empowering them to make informed decisions about their money. The initiative is dedicated to providing accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate financial education.

By leveraging the principles outlined in the book The Teenage Boss: How to save, budget, and invest as a teen, written by DeMarko Avant, age 15, aims to equip young people with essential money management skills to navigate their financial futures effectively. Through educational programs, workshops, and resources, the initiative fosters early financial awareness, literacy, and responsibility.

Many preteens and teenagers lack fundamental financial knowledge, which can lead to poor money management and debt accumulation as they transition into adulthood.
